Students in Class 701 "visited" with author Kim Ventrella as part of the World Read Aloud Day celebrations. She introduced the students to her best-selling books, including Bone Hollow and Skeleton Tree, as well as her dog, Hera, who made an appearance in the Skype session.
Ventrella discussed her writing process, sources of inspiration and even her complicated relationships with the characters she creates. Her books are mostly a mix of magic and realistic fiction.
After answering a series of thoughtful questions from the seventh graders, Ventrella selected two students as raffle winners - each will receive a copy of one of her books. Happy Reading!
