The Design-a-thon winners were at it again. Project Green presented at the February 25th CS4All Hack League Borough-wide event. Competing against other Queens middle schools, our team won best Storytelling for their project on creating a small robot shaped like a horseshoe crab to clean the beaches of pollution. The top three winners of the day are going to City Hall to compete against the other borough-wide winners, and Project Green got the nod to move on to the final round. Team lead Farah A. built the robot over February break with input from her team members and Ms. Stahl-Van Brackle. Mariana R. then designed a cover for the robot to show how it could blend with the environment. Nia B. and Melissa T. worked on the presentation that the team shared with the judges. The final round will be held April 3rd at City Hall, hopes are high for this innovative team!
